Balloon Sinus Dilation

This non-surgical procedure is performed to address drainage problems and restore normal sinus function and drainage. Unlike sinus surgery, balloon sinus dilation does not involve incisions. The procedure uses a catheter-based device to inflate a small balloon in the sinus opening, removing blockages.

Deviated Nasal Septum

The nasal septum is the structure in the nose that divides the nostrils. It is made of cartilage and bone. When aspects of septum are bent instead of straight, it is considered to be deviated.

A deviated nasal septum can cause snoring, difficulty breathing, sinus infections, or crusting. It and can be treated using medications or septoplasty, a surgery that straightens the cartilage and bone dividing the nostrils.

Nasal Polyps

Nasal polyps are growths that form inside the nasal cavities. If left untreated, nasal polyps may cause serious breathing problems and reduce one’s quality of life. This can be solved by medication or polyp removal surgery, with the ultimate goal being to reduce the polyps’ size or eliminate them altogether.

Rhinitis is a health condition in which the nasal passages are experiencing inflammation. It is usually caused by mold, pollen, smoke, dust mites, temperature or environmental changes, and other factors.

Symptoms of rhinitis can include nasal congestion, a runny nose, itchy eyes, nosebleeds, snoring, and clear nasal drainage. Issues with nasal breathing may occur, along with recurring ear infections. Rhinitis can be treated using medications or decongestant nasal sprays.

Sinusitis is a health condition in which the sinuses are infected. If it lasts for over eight weeks, it is considered chronic sinusitis.

Sinusitis is marked by nasal congestion, a reduced sense of smell, and greenish or yellow discharge. It can be treated with oral medications, nasal sprays, or balloon sinus dilation.

Diagnosing Nose & Sinus Problems

Nose and sinus issues can be diagnosed during a consultation with an ENT specialist. As part of this consultation, you will tell your specialist about the symptoms that you have been experiencing. An examination will be performed.

You will be asked questions regarding your symptoms, along with your complete medical history. This can include information about any pre-existing health conditions, allergies, past treatments, and current medications. Your ENT specialist may also perform various tests to help diagnose the issue.

Once the specialist has diagnosed your nose and sinus problem, they will recommend a course of treatment. They will describe this treatment in great detail, and all questions will be answered.

Nose & Sinus Treatment Cost

Treatment for issues affecting the nose and the sinuses varies in cost. The price of treatment depends on factors like the exact treatment modality chosen and the specific details of the treatment process.
